You will receive dietary counseling and a personalized exercise program. You may receive your first dose of semaglutide / B12 at this second visit.

Once you are started on the medication, our physician will slowly increase the dosage every 4 weeks, starting with a dose of 0.25mg.

This can help make the side effects that may occur with the use of this medication more manageable. The target and maintenance dose for adolescents and adults is 2.4 mg once a week.

Semaglutide; is usually injected just under the skin, subcutaneously.

Some people may not be able to reach or tolerate the target dose because of side effects. If this is the case, your healthcare provider may wait another month before increasing your dose.

However, you may be asked to stop the medication if you cannot reach or stay at the target dose.
