The duration of the procedures will depend on the type of surgery and the number of surgeries, because there are patients who decide to have several procedures done in the same day. It also depends on the size of the area to be anesthetized, because the local anesthesia applied will add extra time to the duration of the procedure. We can say that in general the duration can be between 40 minutes as it could be an upper blepharoplasty and 4 hours in the case of a face lift.

Pre and postoperative care is very important to obtain good results after surgery.

You should eat food and fluids naturally (fasting is not necessary), take your usual medications, exclude those medications that are related to clotting,

make sure to bring dark glasses if you are having eyelid surgery and arrange for someone to drive you home from the clinic after surgery.

In the postoperative period, the most significant thing is to rest and not to carry heavy weights. Most of the facial procedures include keeping the first days in a semi-sitting position to achieve a quick relief of inflammation.

Take prescribed pain medications and prophylactic antibiotics.
